Stephen joined the Investment Banking practice of Doering & Eastwood, Ltd. (now Integris Partners) in 2005, which at that time had enjoyed a successful fourteen year history. Prior to the expansion of the firm, Stephen was the managing partner of the firm and led completed transactions across a wide range of industries. Today Stephen spends most of his time around the Food and Manufacturing sectors.

Stephen began his career at Ernst & Young in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he was an audit manager, and at Investec Merchant Bank where he focused on M&A and recapitalizations.

In addition to his transactional experience, Stephen has been a business entrepreneur. Notable ventures include founding a manufacturing company that was contracted by the Walt Disney Company to develop a lifetime-finish, outdoor-image product that can still be seen at Epcot Center today. He also helped lead a management buyout of a neural net software technology company from its publicly-traded parent, serving as its global CFO. Most recently Stephen built and sold a specialty food company to a publicly traded confection company.

Stephen graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa) with a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Accounting, and a High Diploma in Corporate Law. He also holds CPA and CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) credentials.

Stephen is a director of Colorado State University Ventures, Inc. CSU Ventures, is the University’s non-profit entity that enables technology transfer and commercialization of intellectual property developed at CSU. Stephen is also a member of the Regional Development Council of the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado.
